Print media deals with the printing and distribution of news through newspapers and magazines. Print players include the publishers, writers, designers and editors who jointly contribute to print media.
The publishing industry, concerned with the production of literature or information, makes information available for public view through news papers and books or magazines. The authors may be their own publishers in some cases. Writers submit their works to the publishers, the editors review the work. If the work is accepted, commissioning editors negotiate the purchase of intellectual property rights and agree on royalty rates. Subsequently, editorial, design, sales and marketing works follow; culminating in the printing of the work.
